If it feels like the last year has flown by, then chances are you may enjoy getting out of the house this Thanksgiving. Imagine not having to stress over shopping, cooking, cleaning, and making sure you have enough chairs! Fortunately, there are a number of local restaurants from Punta Gorda to Bradenton that are happy to do all the work for you. Below is a list of some of the top area Thanksgiving dinner destinations along the Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast – don’t forget to make your dinner reservations for Nov 28th!

Louie’s Modern, Sarasota Check out the offerings at one of downtown Sarasota’s hippest restaurants, Louie’s Modern. The “Thanksgiving Farm Table to Fork Dinner” is $30 per person and includes a slow roasted turkey from Ashley Farms. The regular dinner menu will also be available for those who may be coming from another Thanksgiving feast. Polo Grill and Bar, Lakewood Ranch Within Lakewood Ranch, the Polo Grill and Bar will be serving a Thanksgiving Day Buffet from noon to 5:00pm. You can help yourself to as much of the artisanal cheese display or the sensational sausage stuffing as you please. Reservations are required. $37.50 per person / $17.50 children under 14 / under 2 are free. Harry’s Continental Kitchen, Longboat Key If you are looking for an island atmosphere to go along with your cranberry sauce, Harry’s Continental Kitchen on Longboat Key might be the place for you. The restaurant is open from 2:00pm to 8:00pm on Thanksgiving and features a fusion of traditional and exotic holiday food. Opus, Punta Gorda Visit downtown Punta Gorda for fine dining on Thanksgiving at Opus. $34 per person and children 10 and under are $16.00. Reservations can be made for noon to 3:30pm and 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Pier22, Bradenton From 11:30am to 10:00pm enjoy dining along the Manatee River at Pier22. They offer a full Thanksgiving meal: $25.95 for adults and $12.95 for children under 12. What’s more, they’ll provide you with a take home dinner for four that’s $75 (or for eight at $145). Anna Maria Island Beach Café, Anna Maria Island For a more casual experience with views of the Gulf of Mexico, head to the Anna Maria Island Beach Café. They are open for a turkey dinner on the beach from noon – 5pm. Dinner is only $14.95. Clayton’s Siesta Grille, Sarasota All the traditional Thanksgiving offerings can be found at Clayton’s Siesta Grille on Old Stickney Point Rd. in Sarasota. It’s $22.95 per person and children under 12 are $12.95. Call 941.349.2800 for more information. Columbia, St. Armands Circle The Columbia on St. Armands Circle opens at 11am for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Reservations are recommended. $21.95 for adults and $5.95 for children under 10. The complete dinner menu is also available for those who are craving their famous 1905 Salad. Libby’s Café and Bar, Sarasota Head over the Southside Village area for a feast at Libby’s Café and Bar. It’s open from 11:00am to 9:00pm. $32 for adults and $12 for chilren 10 and under. Reservations are recommended and the ala cart dinner menu is also available. Mattison’s Mattison’s Forty-One in the Palmer Ranch area and Mattison’s City’s Grille in downtown Sarasota will both be open for a traditional dine-in Thanksgiving meal. $28 for adults and $14 for children 12 and under.
