The St. Armands area continues to garner attention for its exceptional location among beautiful beaches and world-class shopping and dining venues. To further introduce the many charms of their remarkable destination to potential homebuyers around the world, the agents of our St. Armands office have participated in blogs and engaged the web’s most popular social networking sites, according to branch Managing Broker Barbara Roberts.

The Power of the Web

Recently, St. Armands agent Barbara Dumbaugh received a lead through Trulia.com, one of the web’s most widely viewed real estate resources. Here, she was able to hand select and present a collection of area properties based on the buyer’s requirements for characteristics, amenities and neighborhoods. The buyer agreed, was satisfied with the selection, and made the trip here for an in-person tour. Barbara sold him a property listed by Yolanda Kaufman, also an agent of the St. Armands office.

Agent Activity

St. Armands agent John August reports increased activity on Lido Key and St. Armands Circle in both condominiums and single-family homes:

In the last 30 days, five condominiums have closed, three were priced between $426,000 – $260,000, one at $1,050,000, and one at $2,731,000. Also, one luxury single-family residence closed at $3,250,000.

New Listings and Updates

Linda Roe Dickinson has just listed a “landmark” residence on Lido Shores for $10 million. This elegant residence is situated on 152’ New Pass water frontage and boasts exquisite design and quality for the most discerning buyer.

Recently, Sergei Sokolov had his listing at 6501 Saddle Oak Trail highlighted on Bob Lunkett’s Exceptional Home Report on Sarasota Magazine’s Channel 7 Real Estate show. You can view a virtual tour HERE.

Agents Helping Out

On behalf of the Wellness Community, St. Armands’ own Julia McClung will participate in the “Hit or Miss the Mark” race, where amateurs and local celebrities give sailing a try for charity. This event takes place on November 7 at the Sarasota Yacht Club. Tickets are $50 each and benefit local charities.

Barbara’s Bottom Line

Agents are geared up for business with sales activity on the up trend. Buyers are still inquiring about prices, but most seem to know that properties in Sarasota are priced right. After all, even a national real estate expert on the Today Show’s real estate segment ranked Sarasota #1 in the US for places to buy! More on that HERE.
