The Neighborhood Report – Point of Rocks

Located at the southern end of Crescent Beach, Point of Rocks derives its name from a unique outcropping of limestone rock, which extends from the shore out into the Gulf. This striking stretch of beach offers an abundance of shells and amazing underwater coastal rock formations, which provide a wonderful snorkeling destination hosting a variety of wildlife, including Florida snapper, stone crabs, sea turtles, snook, and large amounts of brightly colored tropical fish. The area also serves as a remarkable bird watching site, where a number of fascinating species are frequently spotted.

Market Activity – Point of Rocks

Consisting of mostly old-style Florida properties, Point of Rocks offers an eclectic mix of homes, condominiums, multi-family and small hotels on the Gulf coast of Siesta. The homes on the Gulf are on deep lots affording privacy. To the east, and within walking distance, is the south Siesta Key Village with a market, shops, rental business, marina and restaurants. The south bridge is nearby, offering quick access to the mainland. Pricing ranges from the $100,000s for an efficiency-style condominium to the multi-millions for a Gulf-front property.
