Many homes on Bay Island offer stunning views over sparkling bay waters.
The gateway to Siesta Key, Bay Island is itself an island located on the key’s coveted northern end. Dissected by Siesta Drive, the waterfront homes of the north have views of Sarasota Bay, Bird Key and the striking Sarasota skyline. Bay Island is home to the three-acre Bay Island Park, a beautiful place to relax or throw out a fishing line enveloped by gorgeous vistas. As local area specialists, the agents of our Siesta Key office bring a wealth of Bay Island community experience and market knowledge to help homebuyers and sellers.
Bay Island – A Closer Look
The waterfront homes on the south side of Bay Island overlook Roberts Bay, Big and Little Edwards Islands and her rookeries. Both bodies of water, as well as the canals, offer quick access to the Gulf of Mexico using Big Pass.
Bay Island boasts an eclectic array of homes from cottages built in the 1930s and ranch-style homes of the 1950s to newly built estates. Along with bayfront properties, there are wide canal-front homesites and homes on inland areas. At the time of this writing, Siesta Key branch manager Debbie Judge reports that there are 10 homes for sale ranging from $650,000 – $15,000,000. Four are under contract and one sold this month on Siesta Drive for $450,000.
Bay Island – Bottom Line
Great boating water is just one of the many attractions that draw people to Bay Island. Add to that the proximity to the renowned Siesta Key beaches as well as downtown Sarasota and you have a winning combination!
