The greater Sarasota area exudes an air of relaxed sophistication, complete with an abundance of recreational activities and a variety of breathtaking cultural attractions, all surrounded by picturesque natural beauty. Gary Loughlin, branch manager of Michael Saunders & Company’s longstanding Main Street office, is pleased top report increasing sales activity throughout the area. New residential property sales in October were up 50 percent over sales in September and over 100 percent ahead of October of 2008.

Consistent with reports throughout the company, pricing correctly makes all the difference in bringing timely sales. One of the Main Street office’s recent significant closed sales was the result of adjusting the list price to reflect current market conditions. 930 Alameda Way was lowered twice, with the second reduction taking the price from $3,999,999 to $3,500,000 and greater interest was created for the property. It was then purchased and closed at $3,150,000 with listing agents being Janis Collier and Lisa Skirball.
