Deer Creek’s generous lots, lush landscaping, mature trees, impeccably groomed homes, and gently meandering streets continue to have strong appeal for home shoppers in Sarasota. New residents are also impressed with the low association fees and interesting and diverse pursuits of the Deer Creek social club.

Market Activity – Deer Creek

Desirability and demand for Deer Creek residency were demonstrated in the December sale of 8431 Cypress Hollow Drive. Janet Montgomery of the Palmer Ranch office of Michael Saunders & Company listed the property the morning of the caravan for agents. Sara Leight, also of Michael Saunders & Company, viewed the property and called a client to tell them about the house. By evening that day, it was under contract. The closing was just 35 days later.

Why Choose Deer Creek?

I love Deer Creek due to its mature landscaping–not the requisite tiny 7 trees in a yard as in the newer neighborhoods. In addition, many of the homes back to lakes/ponds where there is a lot of wildlife–birds especially. Homes are now being updated but floor plans are usually open and just what many buyers are looking for.

Deer Creek was designed by Sheryl Johnson with privacy in mind, so that houses do not back up to each other. Each one backs up to a preserve or one of the many lakes to give each home a private view.
