How’s the Longboat Key Market?
Reporting from our South Longboat Key office, branch manager Georgina Clamage is pleased to announce that 39 properties went under contract on Longboat Key in October, compared to 26 that went under contract in September. Of theses closed properties, 23 percent were listed for more than $1 million. This is an increase when compared to September, when only 19 percent of the listings that went under contract were listed for more than $1 million. Additionally, there were 32 sales on Longboat Key that closed in October, compared to 23 closed sales in September.

Gail Wittig and Ian Addy’s solution-oriented approach helped them to complete two significant sales this month. One of Gail and Ian’s buyers had a condominium to sell on Longboat Key. When Gail and Ian showed that buyer an available listing in Queen’s Harbor this year, they fell in love. Consequentially, Gail and Ian negotiated a trade for the buyer’s condominium enabling them to close on their dream house on Longboat Key.
Saint Cacchiotti also used her expertise in October to complete the sale of a bank-owned property on Oriole Drive she had co-listed with Main Street office’s Kim Ogilvie. The property went under contract just 59 days after it was listed, and was scheduled to close on a Monday in September. Everything was in place for the closing that Monday until the bank who owned the property was closed down by the FDIC on Friday afternoon at 5PM. Nothing was changing hands due to the acquisition, so it took Saint and Kim’s diligence and professionalism to finalize the sale while working with the buyer and their Realtor through the intricacies of this complex situation.
