As we are fittingly proud to announce the results December’s grant distribution by the MSC Foundation, we are equally delighted to spotlight the organizations that received the funds, along with the noble work they do for the community. Thanks to these special organizations—hand-selected by the Michael Saunders & Company agents and staff who donate to the foundation—hungry mouths are fed, safe places are provided, young minds are educated, and lives in the community are changed for the better. This week we are pleased to highlight: F.E.L.T.—Feeding Empty Little Tummies – FELT is a Bradenton-based organization dedicated to feeding children who do not have permanent shelter. Every week, volunteers with FELT fill donated backpacks with two breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners, as well as two nutritious snacks. The meals are delivered to schools that discreetly dispense them to the students identified by the school board as being homeless. Learn more about FELT HERE. HOPE Family Services, Inc. – Manatee County’s only certified domestic violence service provider, HOPE’s primary purpose is to offer services to survivors of domestic violence and help them stay safe, gain strength, and evaluate their options. Funds donated to HOPE Family Services by the MSC Foundation are allocated to feeding the residents of the shelter—an average of 425 people in need. Learn more about HOPE Family Services HERE.
