On behalf of Michael Saunders & Company, we are delighted to welcome you to our company’s new blog. As a long-established and forward-thinking organization, we strive to stay on top of all the latest trends in business, communications and technology. Naturally, a movement that combines all three of these disciplines is business blogging. And since one of the hottest and liveliest topics on the national agenda is the health and future of the real estate market, we are thrilled to offer this blog as a forum to air your thoughts on these and other related topics.
We will regularly post new topics that are foremost on everyone’s mind. We encourage you to check in regularly, post your valuable and constructive comments and offer suggestions for future discussions. Such a dialogue, we believe, will further everyone’s understanding of the market and help you succeed if you believe, like we obviously do, that real estate is always a solid and outstanding investment.
Thanks again for visiting. We hope you join this exchange of ideas and benefit as much from what you read here as we will from what you have to say. Happy blogging!
Cordially,

Michael & Drayton Saunders

Folks,
This was supposed to be a forum of discussion and what I hear is self-congratulating accolades!
Blaming media does not help. The fact that you advertise does not give you the right to change the contents or the message of the stories. You have your own real estate glossy magazines. People need to hear both sides of the story, no matter how inconvenient is.

Michael,
I wish your company and other real estate companies in our area would preassure the Sarasota Herald to be
a better friend to Sarasota. I am sick and tired
of reading their negative front page “one liners” about
what is wrong with our city. In their efforts to sell
their newspaper, they point out on a daily basis,
hurricanes, taxes, insurance, red tied, etc, etc.
Todays’ 12/14/06 headliner “Local property taxes could soar next year” is a perfect example, when you read on, the
article is lame, is a “what if”.
Michael, your company spends thousand of $$ in advertising and what is the Herald doing for you or for Sarasota?
I have two 1+ million houses listed with your company, I
want people to like and move to Sarasota, I want the public
to see the value of our town, I want them to consider Sarasota over Miami or Naples.
Every city in the US has problems, I just
moved from the D.C. area, they have traffic, high taxes,
high energy prices, but I never saw our newspapers
try to gain readship by writing “what if” articles.
It just appears to me that the Herald and for that matter
all of the media is biting the hand that feeds them.
Sincerely,
Sylvia McNichol
Ps A few years ago in Annapolis Maryland a friend that
owned car dealerships, got together with other owners
of car dealerships, they went to the local newspapers
and threaten to pull of their adds off if the papers
continued to write negative articles about their industry.
Guess what happend? the newspapers stopped…
