Keep those stats coming. It's the only credible information we have to share with buyers and sellers. I've read and participated in blogs talking about real estate and the general public consensus is that banks and lawyers cannot be trusted and real estate agents cannot be believed. Nasty stuff. "Agents will say anything to get a sale" said one blogger recently and others agreed. Our reputation is still not that of shining stars but arming us with credible information helps. What about the effect of another round of foreclosures as more ARM's set as is being reported by analysts out there? How do we temper the good news with what people are hearing may be coming down the road? A positive attitude is a must in this business but so is reality.

MLS stats will show that for the Sarasota area, from 5/1/09-5/11/09 ten (10) properties $1Million and above closed. This is especially meaningful when one considereds that YTD 72 properties $1M and above have closed. A noteworthy up-tick in the luxury market.
