Off the Beaten Path: Sarasota Children’s Garden

Enter into a whimsical playground at Sarasota Children's Garden.

Locals who are in the know visit the Sarasota Children’s Garden.

You’ve been to The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, St. Armands Circle, and Siesta Beach, but do you ever wonder where the locals really go?

This new series on TheSaundersBlog will unveil local hotspots within Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties—and beyond—that may escape the notice of some of our seasonal residents.

This week, we are shining the spotlight on Sarasota Children’s Garden, which is conveniently located just north of Sarasota’s downtown in the Rosemary District.

Sarasota Children’s Garden is the perfect destination for a family with young children. It’s a lush garden, distinctive playground and child’s fantasy land, all in one. Children can play dress-up, sail a pirate ship, and interact with a dragon—all while playing among beautiful Florida foliage. Some locals have even been known to host intimate weddings among its whimsical, picturesque setting.

Admission is quite reasonable, and memberships are available.

Find the Sarasota Children’s Garden at 1670 10th Way, Sarasota, FL 34236, or visit their website for more information.
