Why Did It Sell? – A Longboat Key Condominium for a Couple and Their 65’ Yacht

grand_mariner_balconyThe July sale of a luxury condominium on the north end of Longboat Key didn’t end the way that anyone quite expected. Realtor Michael Moulton with Michael Saunders & Company was helping his customers in their downsize from an expansive home to a more manageable condominium. But there was a catch.

Moulton explains, “My customers had all but given up on the idea of having a condo where they could accommodate their boat.”

Their boat is an impressive 65 foot yacht. They told Moulton they were interested in living on the south end of Longboat Key (which is convenient to St. Armands Circle and Downtown Sarasota; boasts newer, luxury condominiums; and provides for a sophisticated social lifestyle). When Michael Saunders & Company Realtor Linda Stowe held an open house for a $599,000 condominium at Casarina on Siesta Key, she never expected it would eventually lead to a $2.2 million dollar March purchase of a beautiful luxury residence on Golden Gate Point.

The soon-to-be buyers attended her open house. They were interested in the condominium but they were also there because they were in search of a good real estate agent. Both baby boomers, they already had a property on Siesta Key and several more in their home state of Michigan.  As Linda explained, “They wanted to simplify it down to one property that would be their forever home.” (more…)

Why Did it Sell? A Family Friendly Florida Purchase on Holmes Beach

A broker to broker referral, a satisfied client, and close family ties led to an October purchase of this elegant island-style home on Holmes Beach for $1.25 million. Michael Saunders & Company Realtor, Jody Shinn, shares the story behind her recent luxury real estate sale on Holmes Beach and proves that having happy clients is often the best form of marketing.

It began in May 2011 with another sale of Jody’s on Holmes Beach. A Philadelphia Broker referred his daughter, Jennifer, to start her home buying search with Michael Saunders & Company. After showing Jennifer a wide variety of available homes on the island, the search ended with an ideal vacation home just blocks to the beach.

 

Jody feels that the two of them really connected, “Jennifer was very detail-oriented and wanted to know everything about the market. I really try to give my clients as much information as possible. Once they zero-in on a neighborhood, I make sure that they know everything about that particular community.”

Sarasota Real Estate – Why Did it Sell? A Mega Retailer Finds a New Home

Palmer Ranch Luxury HomesThe grand opening of Costco has caused a lot of excitement within Sarasota.  From reinvigorating the Sarasota Square area, to producing new local jobs, to bargains on items across the board, many people have been positively impacted by the Costco Warehouse Corp.’s decision to place a store here.  Michael Saunders & Company Realtor, Stephanie Bugatti, is no exception.

“I developed a relationship with my client just about two years ago,” Stephanie explains. “He was relocating from Utah with the Costco Corporation.”

When her client reached out to Michael Saunders & Company to search for Sarasota real estate two years ago, the Costco move was very preliminary. The MSC relocation department immediately referred the client to Stephanie.  In their initial discussions, he informed her that his move could be years away but in the meantime he wanted to learn everything he could about Sarasota, from staying abreast of the property values to the pros and cons of the different areas.

Constantly communicating via phone, email, and text messages (her client’s preferred method), Stephanie spoke with him at least once a week over this two year period.  He arranged to visit Sarasota for three 4-5 day trips, each time viewing a wide range of properties.

Stephanie describes his top choices, “We identified Siesta Key real estate which included waterfront homes, and then the other end of the spectrum, subdivisions in nearby Palmer Ranch in South Sarasota.” (more…)
