Deborah O’Mara Joins the Lakewood Ranch Office of Michael Saunders & Company

Deborah O’Mara, a top-producing new home sales specialist in Sarasota/Manatee, has joined the Lakewood Ranch office of Michael Saunders & Company it was announced today from the company’s headquarters in downtown Sarasota.

O’Mara has enjoyed a noteworthy career in real estate and finance for over 32 years; starting as a real estate broker in Massachusetts in 1978, where she became partner in her own real estate company on Cape Cod specializing in new home sales. Deborah later relocated to Florida’s east coast, where she joined Citibank and soon became vice president of business development and marketing with real estate lending responsibilities.  In 2000, she moved to Florida’s west coast and currently resides in Lakewood Ranch with her husband, Charles.

            Most recently a top-producer for Neal Communities, O’Mara consistently set the pace for that company’s new home sales for over 10 years. During her tenure there, she sold over 200 new homes in Lakewood Ranch alone and has been recognized annually at the Million Dollar Circle Awards; twice as one of the “Top 5” new home sales consultants in Sarasota/Manatee, with annual sales in excess of $30 million. She has also been awarded the Master Certified Sales Professional designation.

Deborah is a member of the Sarasota Association of Realtors (SAR), Manatee Association of Realtors (MAR) and the Sarasota Women’s Council of Realtors. She has also twice been awarded the Five-Star Real Estate Agent Best in Client Satisfaction award.

Sharon Ross Joins the St. Armands Office of Michael Saunders & Company

Michael Saunders is pleased to welcome Sharon Ross to the St. Armands office.

A native of Butler, Pennsylvania, and an alumna of Michigan State University, Sharon relocated to Sarasota in 1983, where she began her career at the Woodlands II at Bent Tree, Prestancia, and The Oaks. She further honed her skills as the leading salesperson for ten years at The Venice Golf and Country Club, where she established her reputation as a knowledgeable specialist who listens carefully and anticipates the desires of discerning buyers. At the completion of the Venice Golf and Country Club, Sharon continued her career with the sale of new homes and home sites at University Park Country Club.

In 2002, Sharon became part of US Assets Groups, selling Orchid Beach Club on Lido Key, where she was responsible for over $73 million in condominium sales in 18 months. Both raised and schooled in Anchorage, Alaska, Pat relocated to the Sarasota area from northern California. Prior to becoming a Realtor, she worked corporate relocation with two major van lines, and as an air traffic controller and trainer with the Federal Aviation Administration for eight years. Seven of 11 top Sarasota luxury agents work for Michael Saunders

Given its dominance of the luxury real estate market so far this year, it is not surprising that seven of the 11 top agents in the Sarasota market work for Michael Saunders & Associates.

Court records show that one of the firm’s agents, Linda Dickinson, is this year’s most successful saleswoman when it comes to properties valued at $1 million or more.

Dickinson was the listing agent on three properties that sold for a total of $3.75 million and represented the buyers on three more properties that sold for $16.1 million.

Fellow Michael Saunders agent Kim Ogilvie also has had a terrific year, closing four deals totaling $10.7 million for sellers and two totaling $3.1 million for buyers.

Other Michael Saunders agents in the top 11 include Deborah Beacham, Ian Addy, Gail Wittig, Michael Moulton and Hannerle Moore.

Perennial producers Barbara Ackerman of Coldwell Banker and Cheryl Loeffler of Signature Sotheby’s also earned a spot in the top 11, as did Sylvia Babineau of My Realty Company and Judy Kepecz-Hays of Coldwell Banker.

Fran Sola Joins the Palmer Ranch Office

Originally from Maryland, Fran relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio, before settling in Sarasota, where she has served as a full-time residential real estate specialist for the past 30 years.
