Boca Grande is like a Floridian Brigadoon. It is as enchanting as it is distinctive, as untouched by time as it is by snow. And from my first visit to the island to every excursion that has followed, I’ve never been to a place that is more transformative.
This island is more like a mind-set than a destination. It’s as if the Boca Grande experience is the embodiment of those signs you see decorating vacation homes: “Gone fishing” or “Fuhgeddaboudit” or “On beach time.” (more…)

Waterfront property is like a covered parking spot in Manhattan – all residents want one but only the very wealthy need apply. However, let it be known heretofore that there is affordable waterfront land available within Charlotte County and (like a Manhattan parking space) it is still close to everything.

One of several barrier islands extending along the Florida Gulf Coast, Gasparilla Island is a gorgeous destination located in southwest Florida between Fort Myers and Sarasota. The largest town on the island is Boca Grande, and the island is also the site of the Gasparilla Island State Park. Gasparilla Island is largely considered one of the most beautiful Barrier Islands on the Gulf Coast. The pace of life here is as relaxed as it is opulent, as this tranquil, seven-mile long island has no high-rises or traffic lights. (more…)

As far back as the early 1970s, while living in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida, Kevin would come to the island with his family during tarpon season and stay at the Gasparilla Inn. In 1992, Kevin moved to Alaska with his young family. When they returned to Florida, he began his full-time real estate career working with clients in Boca Grande, Little Gasparilla Island, Palm Island, Manasota Key, Placida and the Cape Haze peninsula.
