Sometimes we really need to take a moment to appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds us, and this April provides the perfect opportunity to quite literally ‘Stop and smell the roses.’ 2013 marks the 100th anniversary of Mable Ringling’s Rose Garden, completed in 1913, and featuring a stunning display of over 1,164 roses in 317 varieties. The garden usually blooms every year around the date of Mable’s birthday, March 14th, but with the spell of colder weather it hasn’t quite happened yet. Lucky for us, this means we still have time to see the thousands of buds burst into bloom, a dazzling display for Sarasota residents and tourists alike. The garden is expected to be in full bloom in the next week or so, and can be enjoyed at the Ringling’s palatial mansion, Ca’d’Zan. With the wonder of nature in mind, we are featuring luxury real estate listings with gorgeous grounds, perfect for budding gardeners!
