23 About Me! – Think You Know Our Managers? You Be The Judge

23LogoJust last week, we kicked off our 23 About Me! series to rave reviews company wide, as we learned more about Jennifer Horvat beyond her role as marketing director.

Indeed, many of us who work closely with Jennifer knew of her golfing prowess. Thanks to the hard-hitting questions of 23 About Me!, this athletic side of her has now been shared with the world—thereby increasing her chances of golf-themed gifts come next holiday season.

This week, we extended our questioning reach out to Siesta Key to find out what makes branch manager Debbie Judge tick.

What have we learned so far?

Apparently, team leaders have an aversion to bugs. Find out more below:

She’s a whiz with the Siesta Key real estate market, but she’s also in the market for cowboy boots…

Choose one: mountain hideaway, city penthouse or beach house?

Beach house, near a big city. Yeah, I have trouble choosing but I like to hang out at the beach then go into the city for all it offers. That’s the lifestyle on the Jersey Shore… the real Jersey Shore.

What book are you reading now OR what is the last book you read?
I haven’t read a book in forever because I am always online. One book that particularly moved me was The Red Tent. It was so interesting to learn about the culture during that biblical time and the camaraderie of women.

Do you have a special talent?
If gardening is a talent, then I guess that’s it. My Dad was a landscape designer, so I spent a lot of time around trees, flowers, lawn mowers and fertilizer. That’s also how we discovered at 5 years old that I had asthma, but that’s another story!

How did you spend your childhood summers?
When I was in grade school in Paramus, the Parks and Recreation had programs at my school. We did crafts and played sports. I was killer at knock hockey! We left the house on our bikes in the morning and weren’t expected home till dinner.

If you could live in any other country for 2 years, where would you go?
I would live in Italy and learn Italian. See all the sights, drink the wine and embrace the culture.

What are your phobias?
I hate bugs, snakes and Styrofoam cups, not necessarily in that order.

What is your greatest extravagance?
It’s probably clothes but I usually won’t buy if it’s not on sale. Right now I’m in the market for cowboy boots!

What is your favorite way to exercise?
I am addicted to spin right now. If golf were a really aerobic form of exercise it would be my favorite!

What restaurant do you go to more than any other?
Bistro Figliulo because my husband can’t live without their chicken Parmesan.

What is the prettiest place you have been?
Napa Valley. The vineyards are just so beautiful and serene.

What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?
Playing 18 holes of golf. Eating lunch. Then playing 18 more holes.

What do you like to cook?
Everything! My family loves my popovers.

What is your biggest goal?
Raising my sons to be successful, happy gentlemen. I don’t think that ever ends though, does it?

What is your most treasured possession?
My family and friends. My family is scattered along the eastern seaboard and I cherish time with them when we get together. I am so blessed to have dear friends in New Jersey as well as well as many here in Sarasota.
