“We live where you vacation” is a saying that many a Gulf Coast resident will have proudly proclaimed to their snow covered friends. As if being sun-drenched all year isn’t enough, the area is brimming with exhilarating attractions – boasting the best arts scene in Florida and some of the finest golf courses in the world. As we welcome 2014, I thought it would be a great time to reflect on just how lucky we are to live in such a fabulous place.  It sure is easy to get used to the spectacular view as you drive across the Ringling Bridge; the feeling of dazzling white, soft sand between your toes, and the nightly choice of theatrical productions. Residential Real Estate Market Trend Report for Southwest Florida – November 2013

Combined sales of single-family homes and condomini ums throughout Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte Counties during November were down by 9.5% compared with a year ago, even as the overall inventory rose by 8.6%. There is currently a 6-month inventory of homes and condominiums based on November’s pace of closed sales. This is up from the 5-month inventory of a year ago. Single-family home sales declined by 10% compared with last November even as inventories rose by18.2%. There is currently a 5.9-month supply of single-fam ily properties based on November’s rate of closed sales, up from last November’s supply of 4.5 months.

A Foundation for Giving Back
