Home Buyers Are Bullish Again

Wall Street BullHome buyers are confident in the housing market again. Some would even say bullish. Amid substantial corrections in pricing, record low interest rates and an accelerating economic recovery, buyers throughout Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte Counties are expressing their renewed faith in home ownership through property sales that have trended at record high levels for months.

As if to add an exclamation point to their desire to buy now, they drove sales during the traditionally slow post-Easter months of April and May well beyond the levels experienced during our busiest months of February and March. With 5,033 closed transactions recorded in the three counties during April and May—compared with 4,201 in February and March—sales in the typically slower months were 20% higher than in the peak months.
