Michael Saunders & Company is pleased to welcome Kevin Roy to MSC Mortgage.

Originally from New Hampshire, Kevin relocated to North Port in 2005 with his wife, Karen, and their two sons. A graduate of the New Hampshire Technical Institute with a degree in criminal justice, he retired as a police officer from the State of New Hampshire before entering the mortgage industry with World Savings, who merged with Wachovia and later with Wells Fargo. Prior to joining Michael Saunders & Company, Kevin worked for Coldwell Banker in Laconia, NH, and Coldwell Banker Sunstar Realty in Port Charlotte/North Port.

Siesta Isles, FL – Neighborhood Video

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Connie relocated to Port Charlotte in 2005, where she specializes in properties located throughout Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. A graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in Management, Connie’s professional background includes elementary and secondary education, having earned her original teaching certification from San Diego State University. She later worked on her master’s degree in special education at the University of South Florida.

After purchasing rental property in 1993 and becoming a landlord/investor, Connie earned her real estate license in 2005, and worked for Prudential Village Realty in North Port. She later entered the rental business with Rent Me Florida as their qualifying broker before opening her own real estate office called HG Real Estate Services.

Tak Konstantinou of Michael Saunders & Company represented the buyer of  a Queens Harbour gem on Longboat Key.  The property sold for $1,001,500 on May 2, 2011.  Coldwell Banker represented the seller.

Lenore Treiman of Michael Saunders & Company represented the buyer of a prestigious residence in the Lake Club at Lakewood Ranch.  The selling price was $1,156,250,  and it closed on May 2, 2011.  Luxury Estates represented the seller.

Tom Delaney of Michael Saunders & Company represented the seller and Bibi-Ann Allard, also of Michael Saunders & Company, represented the buyer of a beautiful unit at The Beach Residences.  It sold for $1,700,000 on May 2, 2011.

Technology To Go

Until fairly recently, shopping for properties online was an experience largely confined to wherever your personal computer happened to be plugged in, usually at home.  Those days—we are pleased to report—are gone.

Soon, research suggests, computers that fit the palm of your hand—e.g., smartphones and tablets—will consign the personal computer to the same endangered species list as its cousin the typewriter.

Pity not the poor PC.  For as much as it revolutionized the speed and efficiency with which home buyers browse for properties, today’s Web-enabled smartphones have given the process a timesaving leap forward.  They allow buyers to search faster and more freely while also on the go.   By next year, it is estimated that more people will access the Internet using wireless hand-held devices than traditional desktop or laptop computers.
