Prestancia property closed on April 7, 2011

Joan Parkinson of Michael Saunders & Company represented the seller of a dramatic 2-story Mediterranean home that had been extensively remodeled. The selling price was $1,100,000, and it closed on April 7, 2011.

 

Ritz-Carlton Tower Residence closed for $1,300,000

Joan Dickinson and Beth Afflebach of Michael Saunders & Company represented the buyer and seller of this spacious condominium in The Ritz-Carlton Tower Residences. This home offers panoramic views of Sarasota Bay from every room and has never been occupied. Selling price was $1,300,000, and it closed on April 5, 2011.

Jenifer Schwell of Michael Saunders & Company represented the seller of a prime bayfront lot in Country Club Shores on Longboat Key. The lot is on a ideal south location close to golf, tennis, beaches, and St. Armands Circle. The selling price was $1,575,000, and it closed on April 8, 2011. L'Ambiance condominium closed on March 28, 2011

Hannerle Moore of Michael Saunders & Company represented the seller of a condominium located behind the gates of the Longboat Key Club.  The residence is beautifully designed and offers floor-to-ceiling windows and a 900′ terrace. The selling price was $1,600,000, and it closed on March 28, 2011. Joseph Cinque of Coldwell Banker represented the buyer.

Sanderling, FL – Neighborhood Video

Sanderling on Siesta Key is one of Sarasota’s oldest and most prestigious neighborhoods.  Linda brings an extensive background in luxury real estate, having worked with Sanctuary Realty in Boca Raton, FL, and with builders in country club communities, waterfront condominiums, and gated communities for active adults. She also enjoyed a position with builder Lee Wetherington in Lakewood Ranch. Before joining Michael Saunders & Company, Linda was with Keller Williams and later served as a qualifying broker for Realty Investment Group, Inc.

 A licensed real estate agent since 1986, Linda became a broker in 1993, and earned a GRI designation. While working at Sanctuary Realty, she became a Luxury Homes Specialist.

The Importance of Being International

Not long after Michael Saunders & Company celebrated its 30th birthday in 2006, our founder’s many years of forging strategic international partnerships began to pay important new dividends to many of our sellers.

History will note that by March 2007—with 13,477 properties for sale in Sarasota County alone—our painful, four-year-long market contraction was just getting started.  Lackluster sales from the month before created a 25-month supply of available properties, based on closed transactions; and a 23-month supply, based on pending transactions.

As challenging as the market was, there’s little doubt why so many foreign buyers chose to step up and buy.  Their economies were booming (still), their currencies were increasingly potent against the dollar; and ours was arguably becoming the best buyers’ market in history.  Moreover the U.S.—and particularly Florida—has long been viewed as one of the safest and most desirable havens on earth to own properties.
